From Bits & Pieces

Pat Martin
Pat has been creating eclectic and whimsical art for over 25 years and currently is focusing on her titled 'Rodanthe' strands. These one of a kind strands were inspired after seeing the 2008 Nicholas Sparks film, Nights in Rodanthe, which had similar shell & seaglass curtains on the film set of the beach house. This OBX house is now a vacation rental...Pat connected with the new owners of this unique home and a commission was agreed on for her to install a large set of Rodanthe strands to hang in the beachside living room windows. Pat also creates items such as coasters, cutting boards, candle holders and paper weights made out of concrete and glass.

Archer's Art

Tammy Archer, Award Winning Artist
Tammy Archer was born and raised in a small country town in New York. Tammy has been developing her artistic skills and talents since early childhood. In 2003, her strong desire to create artwork and entrepreneurial spirit led Tammy to turn her art into a full-time passion and small business. After moving to Florida in 2008, Tammy opened her art studio and gallery in Sebring. Tammy loves fishing and being outdoors, taking in all of what Mother Nature has to offer. Kenwood Provisions

Megan & Phil McElroy
We see candle making as both an art and a science because every material that’s used effects the quality and longevity of the candle. We think that’s why we’re so passionate about it. Aromas can set or change a mood and bring a tone to the environment that really makes a statement. We wanted to develop a product that made people happy!

Beach Designs

Lou Ann Clement
I was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, and raised in Treasure Island and Madeira Beach. I have always loved the beach and the water. I work primarily in shells, glass and resin on various ornate frames. I started creating my designs about 6 years ago after I saw a crushed glass orange crab on a stretched canvas and decided to try to make one for myself. I have been addicted ever since. I truly love what I do and hope that it brings joy to others as well.

Lightstone Creative

Lindsay Sager
At this small one-woman operation, I am passionate about creating mindfully handmade jewelry using genuine gemstones, crystals and natural materials for hand-knotted mala beads, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and festival wear. Fascinated with gemstones and their metaphysical healing properties, I intuitively design each piece with intention, incorporating chakra healing and the metaphysical energies of each unique crystal.
I have been creating art as long as I can remember and started making jewelry in my early teens. Finding myself drawn to gemstones in the early days of working in a bead & jewelry making store, my focus quickly shifted to learning everything I could about them. Following my passion for art and design, I went on to obtain my bachelor's degree in Arts. Today, jewelry making is still my passion and creating art keeps life fun and inspired. Thank you to each and every person that supports small artist to keep the dream alive.
Handmade with love and light, always.

HomeGrown & RockSolid

Jennifer Simon
Stones, feathers, shells & other outside found items, along with glassware, are the canvases used by HomeGrown & RockSolid. Their unique items are handpicked and hand painted. Their belief is quite simply that rocks, pebbles & glass are charged with positive energy from the sun, water & earth. These unique creations make great gifts, a simple way to say thank you or a solid way to say I love you. Place them in gardens, on your shelf or on your desk. Each is designed to bring you the magic to inspire, affirm, manifest & help you feel "RockSolid". Their items have been described as a “settling, calming, soothing & happy” accessory.

HomeGrown & RockSolid was created in 2014 by Jennifer Proctor Simon after her creative path took her into the direction of painting on found rocks, sticks, wood & feathers. She began her artistic journey back in 1975 when she took lessons in the art of Calligraphy. She then began painting on clothing, sneakers & baby wear under the name HomeGrown Unlimited in 1987. Continuously inspired by the great outdoors, Jennifer, along with her wife & collaborative artist Dorothy Proctor, would tell you they are especially influenced by the great outdoors, whether it be the mountains, forests or sand & sea.

Jennifer guides a monthly mandala painting workshop right here at Beach House 5317. Get in touch with us for the schedule and to book your spot!

Erin East

Erin grew up as an only child in rural Vermont, creating art constantly from a very young age. Her passion became photography in her late teens and twenties, and she attended a summer program at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY which led her to live in NYC for a decade. During that time, a job at a local non-profit introduced her to graphic design. This self-taught passion led her to where she is today, as a communications project manager and graphic designer for a public charity organization based in New York. Erin was drawn to beautiful Gulfport by a long time friend and housemate in NYC who was raised in Gulfport. Erin is so grateful to be here. Erin's love of color and composition is what inspired her passion for graphic design, and is what she enjoys about her paper mosaic art style pieces. She starts by painting sheets of paper in various colors and then cuts and pairs them together to create work that resembles stained glass. She is drawn to creating pieces with beach and Florida nature themes, as well as using paper letters to create fun and sometimes intricate signs.

Spazzleapples

Nicole McFalls
I have been doing various forms of art my entire life. I started collecting rocks, twigs, feathers and broken seashells as soon as I could walk. Everywhere I traveled or lived I was collecting nature. I like broken objects, the texture, subtle colors and the character that imperfect items have. We are all imperfect. I prefer my art to reflect the beauty of the imperfect things.

In my life, I have done photography, paper card creations, painting, drawing, jewelry, etc. Right now, I am into pottery. I want every piece to put a smile on your face and be functional. 95% of my products are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe! If it is not food safe it is marked. I use various techniques and firing methods to create my wonky designs.

Everyone can have a bit of art in their life. Therefore, I make things for all budgets. From ceramic straws to decorate vases and wall hangings. Most everything I make is in small batches and not duplicated. I even doodle with clay. If it’s one of my doodles, then it’s the only one. I think that’s what I love most about clay. You don’t have complete control because you are working with fire and minerals. Every piece looks different and has its own personality. Just like every living thing does.

Spazzleapples is where functionality and art meet!

Kit Perusich

It all started with a paint-by-number set of clown pictures when I was a kid and I was hooked. I have been a creative person for as long as I can remember. I learned to sew from my Mom and learned to work with wood from my Dad and they both had a passion for refinishing furniture.  I often wonder what they would think of me adding paint to stained wood furniture that they spent hours scraping the paint off of!  But what goes around comes around and I find great artistic satisfaction in giving an old piece a new personality.

I am a very curious artist.  I love to try out new mediums, processes and materials to see what I can do with them.  I admire artists who have found their niche in their art world but I have come to the conclusion that I am not wired that way.  One day I might be working on a watercolor painting, the next using clay molds and ink stamps to finish a mixed media piece, another day painting a table with chalk paint or acrylics and the next I might be sewing a quilt!  Whatever art I put out in the world, I hope that it brings joy and a smile to all who see it.

Sarah Godfrey

I was originally born just outside of Kansas City, Missouri. After 22 years of Midwest living, I moved to Clearwater with some friends and have been here for the last 5 years. Venturing out to the coast away from family and friends has helped me expand my art style as a reflection of my emergence into a new state, with new people and places, where I could be whomever I decided. That freedom, paired with the intense isolation of COVID, helped create the style I have today. I find satisfaction in things that harbor conflicting ideas, color schemes, or contrast basic biology. I like to create works that are based on usually two contrasting tones, usually centered around femininity and how it can be expressed in unexpected ways. Nature and the natural elements are a large source of inspiration for me, as is the female form.

I believe that the aspects that made my art hobby challenging in the beginning are what have shaped my style and given me drive to continue to create. When I started painting/drawing seriously in 2019, I had almost no art supplies, was more alone that I had ever been, and was in need of something to help me bring meaning to my days. I am so grateful to have this hobby in my life, as it has shaped who I am and how I spend my days more than I thought it ever would.

Thank you for taking the time to look through my pieces, and if you ever need some custom art, I love the challenge of a commission piece.
